Attention Budding Photographers

For those of you who enjoy photographing your gardens and others that you visit in your travels and, like me, would like to learn some tips and techniques to help you take better pictures, we've got some good news.

On Sunday October 18 we will be offering our
second Photography Workshop.

Our guest expert will again be Dr. Lenore Collins.
Lee is recently retired from RI College where she taught Graphic Communications (including Digital Photographic Reproduction) for 23 years. She has had entries in several juried shows and received an Honorable Mention in the Projo Photo Contest. She was also a runner-up for the cover of the Narragansett Bay Research Reserve calendar.
Digital Photography is a hobby she enjoys as is sharing her knowledge to help us all become better photographers.

Photography Workshop

Sunday, October 18, 1:00-3:00 PM

Have you ever wondered why some photos look ordinary and
others look spectacular?

The difference is where the subject is placed,
the influence of light on the subjec
t and whether
the camera is set to shutter or aperture priority.
Learn what these things mean, how you can master
these and other effects and when you should
use each one for the best images.

Some of the techniques you will learn:

Consider the best placement of the subject in your photo.
How to set your camera for the clearest distant images
How to set your camera for moving objects.

The cost for the workshop is $15.00 per person and includes a
guided tour of our gardens and some of Joyce's special treats

Advance registration is required by 4:00 p.m. Friday, October 16th so
Please call Joyce or John at
THE GOOD EARTH to reserve your place.
